I have been fascinated by birth and babies for as long as I can remember, and trained as a doula very early. (When I was a child I planned on becoming a midwife, but life had other plans for me and I have found other ways to serve families as they expand.) After college I went to massage school to specialize in pregnancy massage, and also trained as an infant massage instructor to help parents gain confidence in massaging their babies.
After welcoming my own babies, I directed my energies toward lactation support within my community and also helped run parenting support meetings on a monthly basis. I trained in cranio sacral therapy, and began working with doctors and lactation consultants in the area to help babies who were struggling with feeding difficulties. I spent a decade doing CST for families in the area, before the pandemic shut everything down.
After a few years spent focusing on my kids’ educational needs, I have returned to private practice and now do home visits for craniosacral therapy and massage.
I have also returned to further education, and am pursuing some professional certifications through Birthing From Within. Eventually I hope to be able to offer childbirth preparation classes and parent support.
If you are interested in bodywork in the King and Snohomish county areas OR are willing to participate as a subject in practical education challenges for my birth worker training (these could include interviews, practice class exercises, etc. via Zoom or in person) please email me at bryn@fullspectrumfamilies.com
